Applications are still open for young people from the UK and Germany to take part in our seminar in Hamburg on 20-22 October 2017.

Activities will include an excursion to the mudflats and expert-led workshops on themes surrounding our seas and oceans.

Host a Teacher in 2018

With our free and flexible programme, your school can host a teacher from Germany for two or three weeks in the spring or summer term.

Start the new school year by teaching your pupils all about school life in Germany:

Magical Christmas Trips

From biscuit-making to Christmas markets; give your primary pupils a taste of Germany's Christmas culture and set up a link to a German primary school.

"More pupils now want to learn German and the wider community has also gained a greater awareness." Find out what last year's schools got up to on their visit.

Do you have a link with a German school?

Special partnership bursaries are available again this year for UK-German school partnership activities taking place in 2018.

Young Europeans Award

Are your pupils interested in European issues? Encourage them to enter the competition and win a trip to Warsaw!

With the UK (and UK-German Connection) as a partner for 2017-18, pupils are invited to team up with young people from Germany, Poland and France and enter with a project on the theme 'To be or not to be... a European.'

  • Plan ahead for the new school year with our calendar of opportunities

  • Vote for your favourite image in our German Pupil Course photo challenge on Instagram by the end of September

  • Funding deadline: 31 October 2017. Apply for funding for projects taking place from winter 2017.

  • Opening soon: applications for the 2017-18 FLA/ELA Ambassadors programme
