We are pleased to say that Alex has arrived safe and sound after a long trip from Berlin. The children in Swan class have been showing him how we learn and he has joined in with many lessons. We are looking forward to our time with Alex and finding out how Ben is enjoying his time in Germany.

It's been a sad day saying good-bye to Alex. Beech Class have thoroughly enjoyed having Alex stay with us in Trowbridge. We have learned so much about Berlin and the German greetings, numbers, months, colours and so on. Krystian said, 'This has been such a great experience, I want to continue learning German and visit Germany one day.' We sent Alex off with a celebratory breakfast. Safe travels Alex, we will miss you lots.xxx

Ben was so pleased when we showed him around our school building. He liked the playground, the "green classroom", our school garden and the dining area. He also enjoyed himself at the library. Everybody is really sad that he has to leave so soon. We'll miss you, Ben.

Thank you for all the interesting things you've taught us, have a safe journey back to London. See you!

Today Alex taught us all about Berlin. We learned about the Berlin Wall, the TV tower, the Brandenburg Gate and the Government Buildings. We learned that Alexanderplatz, where Alex lives, is not far from these famous landmarks. We all agreed we would love to visit Berlin one day! Thank you Alex.x

Today Alex helped us write postcards to our school friends in Germany. Our postcards showed images of strawberries, the Big Ben, the telephone box, the British Bull Dog and the Queen. Sophie said, "I could not believe that September in German is spelled like September in English." It has been so much fun learning German with Alex, he makes our lessons come to life!!
